After 20 years of living, learning and adventuring around the country and abroad I have returned to my roots and am happy to offer the skills and education I have acquired in Yoga and Wellness to my hometown community. In my early twenties, I fell into the practice of Yoga in Columbia, MD and I wholeheartedly attribute my balanced energy, strong and flexible body, positive outlook, and ability to swim through life's changes and challenges with grace to my consistent and dedicated Yoga practice. I felt called to share this practice with others and received my first yoga certification from The Yoga Center of Columbia in 2006.
A decade later, and after operating my own yoga studio for 5 years in Peru, I furthered my study of Yoga with Sol Yoga in Frederick and earned an E-RYT 500 certification in Advanced Yoga and Ayurveda with over 5,000 teaching hours. I enjoy practicing and teaching many styles of Yoga including Vinyasa Flow, Hatha, Power, and Yin as well as incorporating mindful moments in meditation as well as Pranayama (breath work) to help students on their path to health and wholeness. Committed to living a healthy lifestyle and wanting to share and help others more comprehensively along their path, I became certified as a Holistic Health and Wellness Coach through The Institute of Integrative Nutrition in 2016. In 2017, I began studying the art of Reiki and have completed Level I and Level II through the Maryland Center for Reiki Training.
As a lover of exercise and many movement practices, I decided this year to become certified in Pilates Barre so I could offer my students more options in achieving their mind and body goals. Always a student and forever learning, it is my hope to complete my next training in Trauma Informed Yoga.
After joining the Hagerstown Holistic Wellness team as a teacher and manager of Sol Yoga in January 2018, I am now operating my own business here in partnership with this wonderful practice and group of women healers. I currently offer 9 weekly classes on the schedule with plans to offer more classes, workshops and events in the near future. As well, I am available for off-site classes and events, as well as private sessions in both Yoga and Health Coaching.
